Dorinda Strother
Born and raised in Hampshire County, Dorinda has a unique passion for making a difference in her community. She is a 1991 Graduate of Hampshire High School with concentration in Administrative Systems where she met Chris. Married in 1994, she moved from Springfield, WV to Augusta, WV and later built her home in Capon Bridge, WV where she raised her three children and can spend time with her two, soon to be three grandsons. She has had a variety of experience having worked in a Group Home, Nursing Home, Banking (8+ years), and Land Development (6+ years), and over 12 years of experience in Licensed Behavioral Health Centers. Her work history has allowed for her to expand her knowledge and gain valuable skills in Secretarial Duties, Administrative Duties, IT Duties, Database, Website Building, Medical Billing, Human Resource Duties, Compliance, Teller, Bookkeeping, Payroll, CNA, Care Worker, Mail Room, and Event Planning to name a few. That has given her great insight into learning organization skills and collaboration techniques, to help those in need with a variety of mental health issues, disabilities, addictions, preventive methods, and insight into youth and senior care needs. Dorinda served as Town Recorder for the Town of Capon Bridge for a number of years and now serves as a Council Member, where she serves as a member of their finance committee and planning committee as well. She also serves on the Board for Hampshire County Development Authority and their marketing committee. Serving her community however and whenever she can, Dorinda has been a cheer coach, gymnastic instructor, held bible studies, dance and provided training in a variety of areas throughout her career. She has filled in the gaps to assist with childcare needs of individuals along the way as well. Dorinda self-advocates to continue to expand her growth and knowledge as she feels it is necessary to always be learning. Dorinda's main goal in life is to love and serve others; with the same Grace that God has given to her and help build up her community.
